The XT8 Aluminum 3mm Swiss 7075 T6 Hard Coated produced by XRAY, is classified in XRAY 351123 XT8 Aluminum Chassis (3mm) - Swiss 7075 T6 - Hard Coated Completely redesigned XT8 chassis gives improved weight distribution for better chassis balance and stability. The improved weight balance was achieved by putting more weight at the front of the chassis. This improves rotation, increases cornering speed, improves handling in jumps, and offers more forgiving handling. Attention was also focused on side-to-side balance to achieve better handling both on the track and in the air. The chassis is CNC-machined from high-quality Swiss 3mm 7075 T6 aluminum, strategically machined in low-stress areas and then anodized to make it as light as possible without affecting strength or rigidity. Non-essential material below the engine, fuel tank, and diffs was removed to allow for the lowest possible center of gravity and appropriate chassis flex. Note: Swiss 7075 T6 is extremely rigid aluminum material. After the hardcoating process, in rare cases some small cracks may occur – for example, around openings or on edges where tension in the material is highest. Those small cracks are a natural effect and have no negative impact on the performance, reliability, or lifespan of the product and as such are not considered to be a defect. Due the nature of the aluminum material and the machining process, it is normal that the chassis may be slightly bent in the longitudinal direction.
